Most multi-day Sundarbans tours set off from the ghats of Khulna city, sailing down the Rupsha and Pasur rivers into the largest mangrove forest on earth. Boats sleep on board and use smaller dinghies to reach forest stations, walking trails and creeks where spotted deer, monkeys, crocodiles and many birds are seen. The Bengal tiger lives here but is rarely spotted. The journey itself, past fishing villages and shrimp ghers, is half the experience.
