Rupsha riverfront and Khan Jahan Ali Bridge

Watch cargo boats, ferries and fishing craft crowd the wide Rupsha as the sun drops behind the bridge.
The Rupsha is Khulna's working river, busy with ferries, coasters, wooden cargo boats and fishermen. The long Khan Jahan Ali Bridge, often just called Rupsha Bridge, spans it south of the city and is a popular evening spot for locals. From the riverbanks you see the life of a port town in motion. A short boat crossing at the old Rupsha ghat is an easy way to get onto the water.
How to get there
A rickshaw or auto from central Khulna to Rupsha ghat or the bridge approach takes 15–30 minutes.
Good to know
Go in the late afternoon for softer light and cooler air.
