Buddhist ruins, roshmalai and handwoven khadi
Cumilla sits on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway, and the Lalmai–Mainamati hills just west of town hide the remains of Buddhist monasteries more than a thousand years old. The town is also known for its old ponds, its handwoven khadi cloth and a famous sweet, roshmalai.
