Brahmanbaria lies along the Titas river on the eastern edge of the Meghna basin, close to the Tripura border. It is the birthplace of the great musician Ustad Alauddin Khan and the setting of the classic novel 'A River Called Titas'. Visitors come for river life, old temples and mosques, and a crunchy sweet found nowhere else.
