Atia Mosque
আতিয়া মসজিদ
A 17th-century mosque with rich terracotta panels, once pictured on the ten-taka note.
Atia Mosque in Delduar upazila was built in 1609 in the early Mughal period. Its brick walls are covered in terracotta panels of flowers and geometric patterns, blending Sultanate and Mughal styles. The building appeared on an old ten-taka banknote, which made it widely known. It stands beside the Louhajang river in a peaceful village setting.
