In Nagarpur upazila stands the palace of the Chowdhury zamindars, an ornate two-storey building with arches, balconies and decorative plasterwork. Parts of the estate now house a college, and the main building has aged gently. It sees far fewer visitors than Mohera, so the mood is quiet. Combine it with a ride through the river country of southern Tangail.

Bus or CNG from Tangail town to Nagarpur, about 1 hour.
