Raktadaha Beel

Raktadaha Beel spreads across Raninagar in Naogaon and Adamdighi in Bogura, fed by about thirteen canals and channels. Fishing, farming and birds have long depended on it. In January 2025 the upazila administration opened a nature tourism area beside the beel at Hatirpul, with shaded walkways, rest spots, clay pots put up as bird nests and a fish sanctuary. Local media have started calling it the 'Ratargul of the north' for its trees standing in water.

How to get there

Take a bus or CNG from Naogaon to Raninagar, then an auto-rickshaw to Hatirpul.

Good to know

Go in the monsoon or early winter for water and birds; take a boat only with a life jacket.
