Taras Bhaban, also called Taras Rajbari, was built in Pabna town by Raibahadur Banamali Roy, zamindar of Taras, during British rule. Its style follows the European Renaissance, with a big entrance flanked by pairs of tall columns and decorated walls. The main block is about 100 feet long and 60 feet wide. Over the years it housed government offices and even Pabna Medical College for a while, and in 1998 the Department of Archaeology declared it a protected monument.
