After the famous Pagla Mosque, the Shahidi Masjid is the best-known mosque in Kishoreganj. It stands in the heart of the district town, a three-storey building with a single tall minaret about as high as a five-storey block. Around it runs a Qawmi madrasa, Al-Jamiatul Imdadia. The great Sholakia Eidgah, home of the country's largest Eid congregation, is a short distance away, so the two are easy to see together.

How to get there

Any rickshaw or auto in Kishoreganj town can take you there; it is in the town centre.

Good to know

Visit outside prayer times and dress modestly. Walk on to Sholakia Eidgah afterwards; on Eid morning the whole area fills with worshippers.
