The Baliadi estate was founded by a family that traced its line to Mughal-era officers granted land in the Talebabad pargana in the early 17th century. Later generations moved to Baliadi village in Kaliakair and built the zamindar house that stands there today. The family produced several well-known public figures in the 20th century. The house is off the usual tourist route and makes a quiet stop on a Kaliakair or Safari Park day.
