Mujibnagar Day marks the swearing-in of the provisional government of Bangladesh in 1971. At the memorial, the day begins with flag raising and guards of honour, followed by a re-enactment of the oath and cultural programmes. Crowds come from across the region. It is the best day to feel the significance of the place.
