In recent years Khagrachhari's hills have filled with mango orchards, and the district now grows tens of thousands of tonnes a year, mostly Amrapali. The fruit is small, deep orange inside and very sweet, and it ripens in June–July. It sells across the country, but in season you can buy it cheaply in local bazars.
