The Jadukata river emerges from India onto a wide bed of sand and stones in Tahirpur, its water clear and pale blue-green. On its bank rises Barikka Tila, a small hill with grassland, trees and scattered villages. From the top you look down on the river curving out of the hills, with boats loading sand and stone below.

How to get there

Reach Tahirpur from Sunamganj town, then by motorbike or boat toward Laur/Barikka Tila.

Good to know

Do not cross the border. River currents strengthen after heavy rain in the hills.
